Relieve Stress using a Staircase Deepener

     This can be used as a starting point into the Second script for an out of body experience – if used in this manner the subject should be in recliner or lying down.

 

Staircase Deepener

 

     You are now standing at the top of a staircase that has a view of the ocean.  This staircase has a stunning, safe and secure handrail.  Visualize yourself on the top of this staircase, with your hand on the handrail for support.  You will walk down 100 steps to the bottom of the staircase. 

 

     Each step you take will lead you further into a deeper and relaxed state.  As you are sitting there in comfort and relaxation, take notice at how gentle and inviting the steps are that lead you down closer to the ocean.  Notice the lush and supportive carpet under your feet.

 

     With each step you take the carpet holds you securely allowing each step down to bring you into a deeper and more relaxed state. Imagine the carpet is your favorite color bringing in a relaxed and peaceful energy into your body.  More and more relaxed.

    

     Know that these are the steps that will bring you deeper and deeper into a state of rest and relaxation.  With each step down you will experience more calmness and peace.  Thoughts from the day will ease into tranquility and quiet.  Take hold of the handrail if you want and as you are walking down the steps I will count down from 10 and with each number you will feel more and more relaxed and calm.

 

     More and more calm and relaxed as you are walking down the steps to the bottom of the staircase.

 

10 – deeply relaxed, deeper and deeper

9 – Let yourself go, become more and more relaxed

8 – more and more relaxed and quiet

7 - Deep, deep calmness with each step down

6 -  More and more and more relaxed,

5 – closer to the bottom of the staircase - quiet and serene

4 - Deeply relaxed, soooo comfortable, sooooo relaxed

3 - More and more relaxed, deep sense of peace and tranquility

2 – deeper and deeper into relaxation

 

     And 1 as you are near the bottom step let the staircase behind you fade away.  You are deeply relaxed now, so very relaxed and peaceful, with only the ocean ahead.

 

(This can be the deepener before the next visualization or can be used to help stress levels).

Your whole body now feels relaxed from your head all the way down to your toes.  The ocean in front of you is inviting you to float outside of your body.
