GOLF
Golf is probably the most
popular sport in which people use
hypnosis techniques to improve but
it
can also be used with many other
individual and team sports,
including football, rowing, track,
skiing, baseball, skeet shooting and
pool just to name a few.
Tiger Woods uses mental
imagery in order to achieve
results. He would imagine himself
producing the perfect swing and
playing the perfect shot immediately
before doing exactly that. He
doesn't hit bunkers or obstacles
because in his mental images they
don't exist.
BODY BUILDING
With hypnosis the main attribute in the
bodybuilding arena is the removal of
mental blocks, to enhance development,
success has also been seen in increasing
weight lifting abilities, focusing and
motivation, increased endurance and speeding
recovery times.
It is documented that the ability of
hypnosis to increase emotional responses,
also serves to
release
testosterone in the body, aiding
muscular development. It as been found that
all senses are improved an average of
approximately 15% while in hypnosis.
Ultimately it is the mind that
controls muscle, this includes the
delivery of electrical impulses that signals
the muscle to work. Research shows that this
stage lights up identical parts of the brain
that would be energized if you were actually
working out.
During hypnosis the
brain’s Hypothalamus releases
neurotransmitters that command the pituitary
gland to release development hormones. The
Endocrine system is the system that
initiates the changes that occurred during
puberty.
SPORTS
PERFORMANCE
Through
unconscious visualization every cell of the
body is communicated too, showing your mind
and body how you wish to look and feel once
your goals have been achieved. You clearly
see and thus become the person you wish to
be.
The 'will' always breaks
before muscle (assuming the muscle is
adequately warmed up). Therefore, with good
direction you can use hypnosis to
intensify your training session to go
far beyond ones usual level of pain
threshold.
Whatever your sport or activity,
hypnosis can help you to enhance it.
Whether you require more focus, strength,
coordination or energy, let us help you to
unlock your inner potential . . .

A recent Wall Street
Journal article (February 11, 2002) brings
recognition to the field of hypnotherapy.
Bronze medal Olympic champion Adam Malysz
used hypnosis for his ski jump victory: "And
before ascending the ramp and lurching down
that icy slide in the 90 meter event, he
descended an imaginary staircase-20 slow
deep steps into a trance."
The Soviets and
Eastern block countries have used hypnosis
much longer than other countries for sports
enhancement. Eleven Hypnotherapists
accompanied the Russian Olympic team in
1956.
On the evening of
June 2nd 2002 the L.A. Lakers
beat the Sacramento Kings in overtime in the
7th game of the Western
Conference Championship. After the game
coach Phil Jackson credited his morning
practice of self-hypnosis, meditation, and
visualization with giving the Lakers the
belief that they could win. Coach Jackson
insists that the Chicago Bulls practiced
daily self-hypnosis when he coached Michael
Jordon and the Bulls to their 6 NBA
Championships.
It is well known
among golfers that much of the score depends
on how a golfer thinks. Ben Hogan says,
"Golf is twenty percent technique and eighty
percent mental." Jack Nicklaus has stated
many times that he believes that golf is 90%
mental preparation and only 10% skill. He
prepares for matches by visualizing problem
putts and mentally rehearsing how he will
execute each drive.
Boxer Ken Norton has
used hypnosis training before his famous
victory over Mohammed Ali. That was the
fight in which he broke Ali’s jaw. Mark
McGuire uses hypnosis to help him relax.
Even Tiger Woods is believed to have done
extensive hypnosis and meditation and
continues to use a hypnotic trigger to focus
his mind.
Allow
four or more sessions
to achieve you goals. Used in conjunction
with the
21 Days of Change Program.
